PNU Invites Global Battery Experts for Special Lecture Series
PNU’s Glocal Lab Project Team invited leading scholars and experts in the secondary battery field to Pusan National University for a special lecture series, providing an opportunity to share the latest research achievements and technological trends while expanding academic exchange and industry–academia collaboration.
The invited speakers included Professor Masayoshi Watanabe and Professor Kazuhide Ueno of Yokohama National University, followed by Professor Kazuhiko Matsumoto and Professor Jinkwang Hwang of Kyoto University. Jaephil Cho, CEO of SMLab, also took part in the event.
The event consisted of two sessions, “Battery Innovation and the Future” and “Materials for Next-Generation Batteries.” The invited speakers shared the latest research trends across a wide range of topics, including secondary battery technologies, next-generation materials and electrolytes, offering insights into both the current state and future direction of battery technology.
Through this event, PNU aims to continue expanding international academic exchange and joint research at a global level. By linking these efforts with government-supported initiatives, PNU will further strengthen its global research competitiveness in the secondary battery field while cultivating the next generation of researchers.
PNU’s Glocal Lab Project Team is conducting convergence research on circular resource utilization across the full life cycle of secondary batteries, covering areas from materials development to the recycling and resource circulation of used batteries. Through these efforts, PNU aims to strengthen regional industry–academia–research collaboration and establish itself as a research hub leading innovation in secondary battery research and the development of the regional battery industry.
