최근 외국인 유학생이 정식 금융기관을 이용하지 않고 불법 사설 환전소, 카카오톡 오픈채팅방 및 지인을 사칭한 브로커 등을 통해 등록금을 납부하여 전자통신금융사기(보이스피싱) 범죄에 연루되는 사례가 증가하고 있습니다.

정식 금융기관을 통해 납부하지 않을 경우, 유학생의 등록금 가상계좌에 해당 범죄 피해금이 입금되어 대학 등록금 계좌의 지급정지 및 학생 본인의 범죄 연루 등의 불가피한 상황들이 발생하게 됩니다. 

안전한 등록금 납부를 위해 아래 사항을 반드시 지켜주시기 바랍니다.
- 반드시 국내･외 정식 금융기관을 통해 학생 본인이 직접 납부
- 외화송금, 알리페이, 위챗페이, 페이팔 등 공식적으로 안내된 납부 방법 이용
- 지인, 유학브로커, 비공식 사설 환전소 절대 이용금지

등록금 납부가 전자통신 금융사기(보이스피싱) 범죄에 연루되는 경우, 각종 소송이 제기될 수 있으며 민･형사상의 책임을 질 수 있으니 각별히 유의바랍니다.

[Important Notice for International Students Tuition Payment: Beware of Voice Phishing Fraud]

Recently, there has been an increase in cases where international students become entangled in electronic telecommunications financial fraud (voice phishing) crimes by paying tuition through illegal private currency exchange offices, KakaoTalk open chat rooms, or brokers impersonating acquaintances, instead of using official financial institutions.

If payment is not made through an official financial institution, funds from these crimes may be deposited into the student's virtual tuition account, leading to unavoidable situations such as the freezing of the university's tuition bank account and the student's own involvement in criminal activity.

Please ensure you follow the points below to ensure safe tuition payment.

- Payment must be made directly by the student through an official domestic or international financial institution.
- Use officially recommended payment methods such as foreign currency transfers, Alipay, WeChat Pay, PayPal, and other officially approved methods.
- Absolutely do not use acquaintances, study abroad brokers, or unofficial private currency exchange offices.

Please exercise extreme caution, as involvement in electronic telecommunications financial fraud (voice phishing) regarding tuition payment may result in legal action, including both civil and criminal liability.
